Packed for the Hospital/Birth Center
Started packing for the hospital at 35 weeks, and now at 37 weeks, I am totally packed. Kids' bag is packed with snacks, water bottles, a "Big Sister" t-shirt and book for Lorelai. Baby's diaper bag is ready to go, my labor bag with snacks for Aaron, water bottles, and labor tools are packed. But last minute Aaron has yet to pack his bag.

Announced Baby's Gender to Family
On this night we shared with our children, family, and friends the news of our baby's gender. We made them wait about two months before telling them. This was torture for our kids, but I'm so glad we waited. I filled a giant black balloon with pink confettii and white hearts, and my husband had the balloon filled with hellium at the local party store. We laid out a hot chocolate bar with pink, blue and white baked goods (like snowflake sugar cookies), and adorned the dining room with blue, pink and white snowflake decorations. Once all of our family and friends were gathered, my husband, children and I gathered under the balloon, as my husband popped it with a needle (unfortunately he popped from the back so it didn't shower us with the confettii, but his grandma instead, which was a surprise for her, lol. Learn from us, pop the balloon from directly the center of the bottom of the balloon.), and the news was out! I'm so glad the secret is out!

Found Out Baby's Gender
We're having a "ladybug"! That is exactly how the ultrasound tech broke the news to us. So we are adding another girl to the family!

Started Childbirth Classes
Started the first of our six week birthing classes with our Doulas. They are so funny, nice, and informative. My husband and I are feeling more confident in our path to a hopefully med free labor and delivery.

First Prenatal Appointment
Great first appointment with ultrasound. Our cute little baby looks like a frog in the ultrasound. It made me laugh a little. Everything looks great.

Heard Baby's Heartbeat for the First Time
We were really surprised to hear baby's heartbeat this early on. I immediately started to cry. It was such a beautiful sound. They did however move my due date back from March 10th to March 22nd.

Announced to Friends and Church Family
The big news is now social media official. We shared this cute picture collage to break the news to extended family members who didn't know yet, as well as to our friends and church family.

Told Husband/Partner
As zoo as I put the sample on the test, colors started to appear on the line that has hidden itself from me for the past 3 cycles. Is this it?! Was this the cycle?! I bolted out of the bathroom door and woke up my husband and made him come into the bathroom to watch with me. He by the way was sound asleep, and had NO idea what was going on. It's hysterical looking back at it. Poor man! Lol. There were TWO LINES! Two very clear lines, no way! So he with a big smile on his face hugs me tight, and then goes to lay in bed to finish waking up, I follow him to give him more hugs. I'm staying at my mother-in-law's house while we're visiting. She comes out of her bedroom and goes into the bathroom… where the test is still sitting on the sink! She came right back out smiling and crying… whoops, I guess we're telling Mom, hahahaha.

First Positive Pregnancy Test
This morning I awoke with more cramping, and a lot of pressure. I rolled out of bed fully expecting to feel fluid exit my body on the walk to the bathroom. But I made it there okay. On the toilet I wiped vigorously to get some stain of what was hiding at the front door, because I did not want to waste a pregnancy test on a negative and then have AF show up 30 minutes later. Nothing. 4 days late, I went ahead and chose to put my urine sample in a cup and dip the test this time. After 5 seconds in the cup I laid the test flat, and waited. 5 seconds past and I saw what seemed way to fat to be a normal line, and thought crap the last test I have gives me an evap line, you have to be kidding. 10 seconds pass and that evap line became narrower and narrower. I bolted out the bathroom door and woke up my husband and made him come into the bathroom to watch with me. He by the way was sound asleep, and had NO idea what was going on, lol. There were TWO LINES! Two very clines! I'm PREGNANT!

My husband has been home since delivery. He has been so wonderful. But sadly he goes back to work this weekend. :( And of course it has to be a holiday weekend too. But at least he gets holiday pay, so that helps. I have also had my parents and in laws stop by periodically to help out by holding him while we get a few things done. I will for sure be taking advantage of that more since DH is going back to work. I am so going to miss him. :(

I am recovering. It's been a challenge for me...no one told me that your feet would swell up into balloons... :/ But, thankfully that is slowly getting better just really sensitive to the touch. My back has been sore and achy. But thankfully the cramps are starting to subside a bit. :) Now if only my boobs/nipples, back and feet would follow suit I would feel much better...lol.
Emotionally I am starting to feel better too. Had some blues and periodic mini breakdowns but starting to get the hang of things...I think...just tired.

FX'd your little one arrives soon!

I'm feeling a lot better. It's hard to heal with littler ones. She is doing great. We had her apt today and she is passed her birth weight. Chubby girl! I am hoping it's any day now for you!!
