Gearing up: Dilation 1 & membranes
My membranes were stripped (membrane sweep). It hurt somewhat but I attribute that to having a very sensitive cervix at this point. While at it she said I was 3-4 cm dilated so we made some progress since last week. After the sweep I started contractions in the afternoon and into the evening. All about 10 minutes apart but as soon as I went to bed it all stopped! Joy.

I'm trying to enjoy these days without baby but I'm so uncomfortable.

Gearing up: Dilation 1
I had a vaginal exam at the same time that I was tested for group B.

It appears I was 2 cm dilated, soft and with baby low. Nothing happened though. A week later...still pregnant.

Told Husband/Partner
The night before I had gone to bed wanting to take a pregnancy test but I didn't because I couldn't get myself to pee. So, I waited until morning. I fetched the HPT out of my purse and went to the bathroom first thing in the morning.

I then signed a happy father's day card I had saved for a day like this and put the pregnancy in the envelope with the card. I then placed it in the mailbox and told him he had mail.

He thought it was a medical bill from the hospital in regards to his accident on his middle finger.

He was shocked happy about the news. He immediately figured what it was once he saw the front of the card. He was so happy his whole body was shaky. He couldn't believe it and said she/he came when they wanted to come.
