On March 23, 2015 at 40 weeks 0 days pregnant
Went Into Labour
Started with contractions around 9am. Realized it was real labor around 11am. Midwife arrived around 2:30pm. Baby boy was born at 6:43pm.

Home Birth Safe Date
We made it! Looks like we will be having our much desired home birth!

Unpacked Hospital Bag, Finished HomeBirth Kit
I finally got to unpack my hospital bag and finish putting together my home birth kit.

Baby Dropped
Little man dropped to 0 station with much cramping :/

Prental Tests: Group B Strep Test (GBS)
On January 10, 2015 at 29 weeks 5 days pregnant
Tooth broke :(
I was eating granola with my son and snap...broke a tooth in half. Midwife advised if i felt i could live with it, to wait to have it fixed until after his birth.
I think i'll wait...

Spotting
Noticed a little spotting right before bed time. Gone by morning.
On December 16, 2014 at 26 weeks 1 day pregnant
Bleeding
I got in the shower and noticed the water was pink. Got back out and realized i was bleeding heavily(we're talking heavy period flow).
Called my midwife who instructed me lie down and see how things go. No need to overreact by going to the hospital since the baby was active, there were no contractions and no pain.
3 hours later the bleeding stopped and everything was ok.
My lower abdomen was really sore, like i had done too many situps, for about 2 days afterward and i was told to take it easy...no lifting and such.
Everything seems to be fine now.
She said it was just a fluke. It happens sometimes.
Glad thats over...it was one of the scariest moments of my life.

Picked a Name
The name Lucas we picked didn't feel right so we decided today that his name is to be Logan Kaine. Yep, that feels right.

Found Out Baby's Gender
During the ultrasound he turned a little and bam! We knew it was a boy:) The last boy did the same thing...its like they want to make sure we know;)On October 27, 2014 at 19 weeks 0 days pregnant
Announced Baby's Gender to Family
After leaving Dr. Fitzhugh's office i went on facebook and posted a photo of the ultrasound announcing the gender...and then shortly after his name, Lucas Kaine.On October 24, 2014 at 18 weeks 4 days pregnant
Husband/Partner Felt Baby Move for the First Time
We were lying in bed and the little one was kicking so I put the hubby's hand where the baby was kicking and it we him a nice kick.

Started Wearing Maternity Clothes
Had to break out the maternity clothes. Just too big for my size 2/3/4 bottoms now :(

Felt My Baby Move for the First Time
I was lying in bed and i felt a swoosh (only way i can describe it) right below my belly button.
since then the movements have gotten more distinct and i even had a tiny kick.

Heard Baby's Heartbeat for the First Time
Went to my midwife's and got to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time, even though we got to see it beating on the ultrasound.
She found it the moment she put the doppler on my belly.
The heartrate came in at around 155.
On September 15, 2014 at 13 weeks 0 days pregnant
Saw midwife for the first time
Got to visit my midwife for the first time.
She's as wonderful as ever.
She said my blood work was perfect as were my measurements and the baby.
I look forward to many more visits with her.
On August 21, 2014 at 9 weeks 3 days pregnant
First Prenatal Appointment
Went to see Bonnie Ford at Dr. Fitzhughs office.
Had an exam but was unable to hear the heartbeat due to the position of the baby.
Had an ultrasound where we saw a perfect little bean and strong heartbeat.
Also had blood drawn.
On August 21, 2014 at 9 weeks 3 days pregnant
First Ultrasound
Saw a strong heartbeat and a perfect little bean.
Also found no placenta previa this time around.
Measured exactly 9 weeks 3 days.
On July 28, 2014 at 6 weeks 0 days pregnant
Announced Pregnancy to Family
We posted a photo of my positive pregnancy test on facebook and tagged all the family.
On July 13, 2014 at 3 weeks 6 days pregnant
First Positive Pregnancy Test
I was charting and we were trying NOT to get pregnant. My chart was perfect, there should have been no way we could have gotten pregnant.
At 11dpo i woke up from a dead sleep and thought, i need to take a pregnancy test!
So i did, and it came out positive right away (though it was very faint i could see the pink clearly).
I told my hubs right after. He was very happy.
On July 13, 2014 at 3 weeks 6 days pregnant
Told Husband/Partner
After taking the pregnancy test i climbed back in bed next to the hubs and he asked if i was ok...i said "sure, except for the positive pregnancy test i just got."
He was a bit surprised, but happy.
