Prenatal Test: 3 Hour Blood Glucose Test
I failed all three of the glucose blood samples. I have gestational diabetes.

RESULTS: Glucose Challenge Test
The results came in from my 1 hour glucose challenge test: high blood sugar. So now I have to take the three hour glucose test to confirm whether I have gestational diabetes or not. :-(

Rosie went with me. The orange drink tasted like orange pop - just very syrupy and thick. After about 40 minutes of waiting it made me a little light headed.

My husband and I went to Meijer together... and kind of went on a shopping spree. We ended up buying like 7 outfits for our little girl.

Went to ER for the 1st time during pregnancy
Due to severe pain on my right side, that started lower in my stomach and progressed to include the right side of my back and the top of my right thigh - I called the phone nurse at OBGYNAOWM and she advised that I go to the ER right away. An ultrasound was done of my kidneys and bladder, a urine and blood sample were taken, however no cause for the pain was determined. I was sent home with Tylenol 3.

Prenatal Test: Nuchal Translucency
The ultrasound tech measured the base of the baby's neck to determine if there was a chance that there could be some sort of defect. Test came back good!!!!

Announced Pregnancy to Family
I had a feeling all day yesterday that I was pregnant. I wan't supposed to start my period until sometime today. I had already said that if I had no blood today, then I would test Monday. When I woke up though I just had a feeling that I had to test now. So I did. And it was positive! I took me shower like normal, and then after I got out, I went and woke up Josh. I simply told him I was pregnant. He mumbled, "That's good." And then put his arm up so I could give him a hug. He then went back to sleep. :-)
