First Prenatal Appointment
First Appointment with Dr Schwartz today. I have been seeing him as my gynecologist for a couple of years. He did my laparoscopy last December to address my severe endometriosis, cysts, and scar tissue, but I'm never seen him as an OB. He's pretty great...and he has small hands. Told me I was just showing off, showing up with twins on the way. :) So, here is the plan for the next 4 months....office visits every 3 weeks, ultrasounds every 6 weeks, and labwork virtually every time. After that, we go to weekly visits, and ultrasounds every two weeks, and potentially every week until I deliver. Full term is 37 weeks, so....6 months, give or take? These kids are coming fast and furious!

Oh my God, we're having twins!
7 week ultrasound with Dr. Bopp, two babies, two heartbeats!! This changes everything!! I dropped my fall classes, announced on Facebook, and put my ultrasound picture on my bulletin board at work! I "came out of the closet." Given the likelihood that we will be having preemies, this means I won't be able to take as much time off after giving birth, especially given the (also) increased risk of bed rest in the 3rd trimester. Totally overwhelmed....but happy and excited!

Told My Boss About My Pregnancy
Nothing to really tell here. She was quite excited for me.

On March 21, 2012 at 4 weeks 0 days pregnant
Announced Pregnancy to Family
I really wanted to tell my parents in person, but my mom didn't work today, so I HAD to call her. This news couldn't wait until Friday!! Greg has told everyone who he can get within range, but I've been trying to not get too worked up over it because things can always go wrong...but I'm so excited! But I'm too tired to be excited! And we've worked toward this for so long, and now we're here, and I don't know what to do!

I took Greg lunch on his birthday, and told him....I'm pregnant.

	Comment from turkishdelight1 » Posted May. 11, 2012 5:59am how r u doing? other than waves of sickness and an aversion to most food, i'm holding up. :) you mentioned not finding much twin info, well my husband found a good ebook on twins and i'm making my way through it. it's quite good actually. it's called 'when your expecting twins,triplets or quads' by dr barbara luke and tamara eberlein. hunt it down and see what you think.
