On April 9, 2013 at 39 weeks 3 days pregnant
My Baby's Birthday!
I had been having very irregular but mildly painful contractions since Saturday but figured it was normal for me since it wasn't the first time. 8pm on Monday I got the first onethat was bad but waited all night for them to get more regular and they never did. Mypain level stayed around a 6-7 and was not much worse than how I felt leading up to labor so I was in denial that it was real and afraid to get excited. 7:45am I hit transition and my contractions became unbearable and regular finally. We left for the hospital at 8:30am and in the car I began worrying if we would make it. Arrived at L&D at 8:45am and she was born at 9:00am on the dot. She was 6lbs 14ozs and 20 1/4 inches long. G.A. 39 weeks 3 days, we are so in love and go home Thursday the 11th. I had my tubes tied on the 10th and feel very satisfied our family is now complete with Fable's birth!On April 8, 2013 at 39 weeks 2 days pregnant
Went Into Labour

Prental Tests: Group B Strep Test (GBS)
It wasnt bad, I have had it before in my last pregnancy though so am hoping to come back negative this time. I prefer to labor at home longer and didnt like the idea of rushing right in to the hospital to get antibiotics. It wont matter though after all is said and done and I have my little girl!

Finished the Nursery
We dont have a nursery but DH finished putting the crib together and as a suprise decorated the wall for me with stencils and pictures for her! It looks amazing and Im so touched at how he thought of doing it all for me. The pictures are of each one of her siblings and then one of mommy and daddy as well as her name and a few stencils with some nice sayings on them. I love it! Now I really feel relaxed and ready for her to come whenever!

Packed for the Hospital/Birth Center
I felt the desperate need to have my bags packed just in case since I am having increased contractions. I had already made my list so it was pretty easy rounding up everything on it and putting it in my bag. Now Im all set!

Baby Dropped
I felt like she had dropped before and moved back up but this time there was no mistaking it! I can barely go from sitting to standing or laying to sitting without excruciating pain, its going to be a long next few weeks! I hope this doesnt mean she wants to come too early!

Baby Shower
I had a nice and small baby shower with just my immediate family! We played some fun baby related games and had a great time, loved it! :)

Husband/Partner Felt Baby Move for the First Time
Little girl had hiccups and I wanted DH to feel them since he has very little interest in feeling them move(this changes once they are born, it is the same way it was with DS). He said ok and immediately got freaked out by them! It was hilarious to me that it bothered him!

Prental Tests: Glucose Challenge Test
I drank the drink at 9:25am and was told to come back in and get my blood drawn at 10:25am. I waited around the office with my husband and around 10 started feeling a little off but nothing too major. I went in at 10:23 to get my blood drawn and am sitting there and start getting very very dizzy. She tries to get blood in my right arm but no luck and by this point I feel like I will pass out. She asks me to put my head between my legs and then gets me a cold paper towel. When I say I can sit up she put her hand on the back of my neck and tells me to push up on it until I was sitting to bring my blood pressure back to normal. We went through this once more and I thought I was fine until the next thing I know Im on the ground and there are 3 nurses standing over me trying to bring me to. I was so disoriented I started crying because I felt panicky and didnt know where I was or what happened. Then I threw up in the car while hubby drove me home. Horrible experience and I better pass!

Bought Baby's First Outfit
I didnt actually buy her first outfit myself, Shawn made a little stocking for her as a suprise for me and when I looked in it on Christmas he had put a onesie, a bottle and two toys in it! He is so sweet to think of that!

Announced Baby's Gender to Family
We got two clear glass ornaments and the lid to a box. We wrote in paint on the ornaments the 2 names we had decided on, one for each gender and put pink glitter paint in one and blue glitter paint in the other. We glued down the blue one and brought it to the kids. We said that whichever one came up was what the baby was and told them each to grab and pull. They were so happy that were having a girl!!!

First Ultrasound

Found Out Baby's Gender
Its a girl!!! Im so thrilled I was praying for another girl. :) Hubby was a little disappointed but he will be happy enough once she is here. The tech said she was 100% sure it was a girl so I dont feel worried about a suprise! Now we can do some shopping! I was told I have partial placental previa so am on a modified pelvic rest and also was told there is a small cyst on the babys brain but that its normal and will probbaly be gone in a few weeks. We will recheck both things at 28 weeks, so Im praying that turns out ok.

Picked a Name
After find out it was a girl today we have decided to name her Fable Clementine. This is hubbys favorite name and it has grown on me quite a bit. I think it will fit her great!

Made appointment for Anatomy Scan U/S!
We should be able to find out the gender on Nov.21st! Thats 3 weeks away I dont know how I can ever wait another 3 weeks! Its also the day before Thanksgiving though so Im thinking maybe a gender reveal during dinner on Thanksgiving? Not sure yet but working on doing something special!

Prenatal Test: Quad Screening
Decided to do the blood draw today for the quad screening. Never have bothered before and am now nervous that I will just worry about results for no reason. Hoping that doesnt happen and next week everything looks great. Im praying!

First REAL kick!
I was just sitting here on the computer when I felt an actual kick and not a flutter! I am 14 weeks 2 days and it seems right about on the same timeline as my DS. So excited to feel them more frequently in the next couple weeks!!!

First Prenatal Appointment
We met my midwife, she was very nice and I really like her. It was a good routine appt and baby had a hb in the 140s!

Started Wearing Maternity Clothes
Now that my pants are officially painful to sit in, its time to break out my old maternity clothes! And time to buy some new ones. I cant believe Im in them already but at least I am much more comfortable.

Felt My Baby Move for the First Time
I felt the first flutter when I was laying down watching tv before bed. At first I thought that I might have imagined it but once I felt it again I knew that it was the baby and nothing else. So excited to start feeling pronounced kicks in a few weeks!

Heard Baby's Heartbeat for the First Time
I bought a doppler online and found the hb right away at 10 weeks 3 days, it was such a wonderful sound and it made me relax to know that baby was doing well!

Announced Pregnancy to Family
We told the family right on grandparents day! We put a picture of a test that said "pregnant" in a card after making it look pretty on the computer then gave it to them after my sons 1st birthday party. They were so thrilled and the girls were bouncing around with excitement!

Told Husband/Partner
I really wanted to wait and tell him in a special and creative way but I was just so excited! He was thrilled immediately too and we had a hard time not telling anyone right away!
