Q: Low progesterone. Early pregnancy

I have experienced a blighted ovum.. about a year and a half ago. Just got my first positive pregnancy test (at home and blood) and doctor said my HCG was good but low progesterone.. I found out EARLY. I’m 3 weeks 5 days. My progesterone was a 12.9 ... going to pickup supplements after work to start taking them per my doctor. Anyone experience this? All answers welcome.. thank y’all

My progesterone was 10.6 at 5 weeks pregnant. Put on progesterone, onky went up to 11.4 one week later. They upped my dose. I had a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby.

It is great that your Dr has caught the low progesterone and you are starting supplements now. With my first, my progesterone was fine. With my 2nd daughter, due in August, I was spotting until week 7 before my dr checked my progesterone and put me on Prometrium 200mg. Spotting stopped after that (until a 14-week scare that was unrelated to progesterone). But Baby is fine. Wishing you a happy pregnancy!

hi, lexsi2201 so sad to hear about the loss but happy that now you have a positive news. My son that I unfortunately miscarried. I had a lower level of progesterone .from that time I am taking progesterone I think this is the one thing that will help me to have a successful pregnancy. I was diagnosed with low progesterone after my first loss each time I knew it was low because I would start spotting. Progesterone helped me. I was little upset at the start.B ut now I am blessed with a beautiful angel. My all wishes and prayers are with you .may you have a successful period of pregnancy and blessed with a healthy child .take care of your health doesn't take too much stress all will be fine at the end. take care !!

I have personally been on progesterone supplements with 3 of my five pregnancies. I was on crinone with the pregnancy before my son that I unfortunately miscarried. My pregnancy with my son I was on prometrium 200 mg daily, baby aspirin and folic acid he is my only successful pregnancy to date. I currently am on the prometrium again with my current pregnancy 100 mg today and my body is adjusting fine. I think this is the one thing that will help me to have succesful pregnancies. I was diagnosed with low progesterone after my first and second losses each time I knew it was low because I would start spotting. Progesterone helped me, my sister and my friend all have successful pregnancies after recurrent pregnancy loss. Best of luck!
