Q: Craving things I can't have, anyone else?

I haven't had any caffeine or alcohol cravings, but all I want is salami, pepperoni and even bologna (I didn't even like bologna before). . .I know you can eat meats when they are heated up . . . but gross, HOT bologna?

Oh please you can eat pepperoni and lunch meats. I did with both my kids and they are fine! YES listeria is a real concern but if you are that worried then just heat the stuff up and if you dont want to eat it hot then just let it cool again before you eat it. Your doc prob told you no pepperoni cos it's bad for you. Think of how many years pregnant women have been consuming this stuff and how many times have you heard of it being lethal?? Really, this whole scare the pregnant ladies thing is out of control and annoying. Anything in moderation is FINE (except obviously smoking and alcohol and any other drug). Now labor- that's what everyone should be scared of!!!!

I agree with Airiesing. Fried bologna sandwiches are awesome with mayo and mustard. I also crave lunch meats and its stinks we can't have them. I've been waiting pepperoni. My doctor told me no way.

All I want is anything that is dry I'm having terrible food adversions at this point. Anything that's processed meat makes me nauseous which is weird because usually I love sandwiches. Right now goldfish crackers and toast are about the few only things that don't gross me out right now. I don't remember ever having food adversions with my son..I loved everything! Lol.

I love salami ! But I usually only eat the imported kinds and you don't always know about the health standards or curing process of imports..so for the next few months I'm just staying away. :(

Is there any "fake / mock" salami out there that tastes good?

My last pregnancy all I craved was beer!...I know that some sites say you should stay awa from cold lunch meat and soft icecream. I eat both, and I did last pregnancy as well. As long as it is within the expiration date I really wouldn't worry about it1...I had a bunch of ED physicians laugh at me (during my last pregnancy) when I said something about not being able to eat a lunchmeat sandwich. Just thought I would throw that out there.
