The exact same thing happened to me 12 years ago. It was nearly a month from when I found out until I actually miscarried... I was not thinking clearly, and refused the D&C.

It is awful, and feels senseless, I know. But despite planning on waiting a year, we were pregnant 3 months later, with no complications, and I have an 11 year old son now, that I cherish every day because I went through that awful loss. It has made me a better mother.

Take your time to grieve, but know that things will get better.

Im so sorry hun...I had tried for 3 years and finally got pregnant and everything was going well but i had a miscarriage at 10 weeks on Christmas Eve last year...dont give up hope. I was heartbroken, especially because of the holiday. for a while i couldnt stop crying and was down in the dumps. Thank god i have a wonderful fiance. We talked though and got right back on the horse and 4 months after in April i got pregnant again! I am now 25 weeks 2 days. unfortunatly i am on bed rest but so far everything is good. Make sure before you try again you are ok and ready for it. And make sure your doctor is there every step of the way. This time i have a wonderful doctor and i dont know what id do without her. Good luck hun and i am sorry for your loss.

I went thru the same thing last November...went in for my appt...should have been 11 weeks but baby stopped growing at 9 weeks. Had to wait about a week to have the d&c surgery done. It was very upsetting and my husband I cried a lot over that week or so. It was also a shock to us b/c I had no signs /symptoms of m/c and we have two other children with no problems & no losses before. Began trying again in mid-Jan. after one cycle and found out I was pregnant again in mid-April. Had to take progesterone for the first 13 weeks and even though I am now almost 28 weeks, I still worry from time to time...it is normal after a m/c. I am so sorry for your loss. You & your spouse will move on but probably never forget...and that is okay. Just take your time and do what is best for you. Keep trying and I am confident that you will have a healthy baby one day soon. Sending prayers & love your way...

I lost a baby at 15 weeks and didn't get dnc until 16 weeks. As I look back, I was totally numb. I gave it until my first normal cycle to cry, be angry, be selfish, talk about it (a lot) be quiet, yell...everything. For me that was 90 days. Then, for me and all of those around me I had to move on. I understand how you're feeling. It's s disappointing. Let yourself grieve, then get right back in the game. Your baby is waiting for you. It will happen when the time is right. I'm 14w3d. Keep your chin up! You can get pregnant and you will!
