Q: When is everyone going to tell their bosses?

I was thinking I wanted to wait until my 16 week u/s but with my bump increasing there is no way to hold off. I have my 12 appointment coming up on October 14th so I might spill the beans after that. Just curious, what everyone else is doing.

I had to tell at 5 weeks the guy I work with directly and then at 6 weeks (which incidentally was yesterday) I told my boss. I lift heavey items all the time and I'm going to start putting my back out if I'm not careful. If I was in an office job I would have waited until my first u/s but for my own safety I had to tell my boss. She is treating me like I got a sore wrist or something, but it's better then doing my back in.

Alright so I think I have made my final decision. I am going to wait until my next u/s which is on Nov 7th. I am pretty sure I will get called out by then because I've been called out already but thats the plan. I'm sure I will change my mind again. LOL

I am planning to wait as long as humanly possible. For me, it is a bit easier because I wear an apron all day (i work in assisted living and we wear a smock-type apron that covers my entire chest and belly). I don't think it's their business, but when there is enough lifting that I begin to feel uncomfortable with it, that is when I'll tell. Good luck!

I had to start working with my bosses again after 3 months of not really seeing them, I knew they would notice the tightness of my clothes and that I was taking lighter loads, so I told them as soon as we started working together again, 9 weeks. Luckily it's only me and them so it's not like a whole office that needed to know...

I spilled the beans on my first pregnancy at 8 weeks and then everything went bad at 20 weeks and I was out of work for 6 weeks. I wanted to wait at least until 12 weeks but keeping this in isn't working that great. Plus I work with all men in my office so I'm sure they are wondering why I'm so moody.
