Q: Maintaining... Down there.

I was just wondering if anyone wanted to share how they ahem... Maintained their hair down there? Is waxing the best and easiest? It's getting so hard to shave and I will not ask hubby to help, no way. I just want to be a little groomed especially when I go into labor which could be in 6 weeks or so.

Thanks everyone for the info! I know Hubby would... not sure if I want to ask him though because it would be a total last resort. I'm thinking of getting a wax around the first or second week of Sept. I hear ya on the "blind shaving!" I've found the easiest way is sitting on the edge of the tub and spreading my legs and feeling around. Its so funny because I know some don't think you need to worry about that but I think I'd feel a little better knowing I'm clean down there when its time for the big event.

My honey shaves my legs and other area. I can't see it (and haven't for quite some time) and he is terrified that I am going to fall attempting to shave my legs. My belly is huge and it takes all I have to bend over plus I have to hold my breath because I can't hardly breathe bent over like that. He also paints my toes for me too because the only way I could reach them is if I was inspector gadget! I have to wear flip flops because I can't put on shoes either. I am 28 weeks tomorrow and still have a long way to go!

My husband helps me. I tried the electric razor blindly and it was not pretty. I didn't hurt myself but my hubby did laugh and shake his head. He is willing to do it for me.

I recommend an electric beard groomer. You can use it blind without a lot of fear (though I am still careful just because LOL) and most of them have adjustable length so you can keep it at whatever length you feel comfortable. I was shaving blind but at this point it's too difficult to reach (35 weeks), plus dealing with the stubble/itchy is no fun when you've already got so much "going on" down there. I'm keeping a short trim and it prevents the growing in itchies AND the too long getting caught on everything feelings.

I haven't reached that point yet but am definitely concerned about it. I think I'll either get a mirror or have DH help me. :)

I just have my DH trim me up. He doesn't mind and it looks much better than if I attempted to do it myself :-)

I'm 22 weeks, and it's just getting to the point where it's hard to see everything without really bending, I'm still keeping up, but already realise it's going to be a challenge. I plan on shaving blind, or letting it grow, even though I haven't done that in years, and am not quite comfortable with having it all natural.
