I found out the gender of my daughter at 15 weeks and this baby, I have an appointment to find out at 14 weeks! So if she will be 22 weeks when you go back, you will know for sure what the babies are! My best friends pregnancy went great! She went to about 38 weeks and they were healthy and did not spend any time in the NICU! Babies are perfect still! I dont blame you, I think I would need to know for sure as well! Is it a blood test you found that doesnt have risks?

Kynlees thanks for your advice..I have looked into this testing..is expensive but only way of knowing for sure. I feel so much for ur husbands friend must have been devastated. How was ur friends pregnancy with the I'D twins..the increased risks r a worry but sounds like it all went good :) can u find out what sex they are on second scan..I'm so stressed.I have to find out wish it wasn't so expensive but I've found a non intrusive test so no risk there but samples go to the state's for test.

Aww! Well congrats then! My best friend has identical twin girls that are 7 months old! I wish you the best! You will be double blessed in a few months! :) I have looked online and found that a Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS) or Amniocentesis can be done while she is pregnant to determine if you are the father.. It has a risk of miscarriage but it is very rare.. But along with the risks of losing the babies, it is pretty expensive I think but they are just as accurate as the DNA test they do after the baby is born.. May want to check into it if that is an option for you so you will know for sure.. My husbands best friend was in your situation a few years ago and was there through the whole pregnancy and birth and then found out the baby wasnt his and was devestated and I dont want you to go through that.. But at the same time, you would feel bad if you werent there for her pregnancy and birth and the babies were yours.. ya know?!

Has she had the scan yet? I agree with it being just DAYS apart, the scan wont shed much light on you that way.. My first child always measured a few days to weeks ahead of what she was and this baby is measuring just a few days behind.. If it had been a week or more apart, it would be more assuring but not only days apart.. I really hope you get the news you want but I imagine you will have to wait until the baby is born to know for certain.. If you are wanting to be the father, which it sounds like you do since you are in love with her, I truely hope you are! When is she due? Im due June 30th and am approx. 10 weeks along as well.. Good luck and please keep us updated! FINGERS CROSSED FOR GREAT NEW FOR YOU!! :)

Thanks Maggie appears that way..I've extensively looked into this..pros and cons for all three procedures (reliability and risk not to mention not in Scotland if an invasion procedure is chosen) but all cost bout 1000 which I don't really have spare just now but not an option for another few weeks at least anyway :(

Thing is. I'm not with her technically yet and now I don't know what to do..so difficult cause I love her she says she loves me and we want to be together but this baby doubt is killing me cause its more important to me than it seems to be to her..don't what to get into the rights or wrongs bout basis our future on the outcome cause I can't make that call..broken heart not a daddy..who I want daddy but till I know what I'm I gone do toss a coin I just wish I knew..Jesus we've discussed names and hers are shocking if it's not mine I'll have no influence on the names..that would be a disaster for the baby..joking apart thank for everyone's opioions I'm grateful for ur time to post back

Thanks lala I agree I'll just need to see what they say tomorrow at scan most of what I've read indicates for a scan at 10 weeks within a week max would be pretty accurate so if it's after or about the 24th unlikely mine but if it's before let's say 18th then would mean more likely it's mine..well that's my logic anyway I'll just have to say to nurse predict the conception date and if ur right there will be something in it for her..why do we resort to humour when we're worried
..any more informed options welcome please
