Q: To coach or not to coach.
So I am a teacher and track and field coach for my district. I am 30 weeks pregnant right now and will be taking this Spring season off, however when next school year starts and the indoor track season starts I will be coaching again. However, I dont know if I really want to coach. I would be coaching from the beginning of November until the end of May (indoor and outdoor)I do get paid to do it,but I would work from 7 am until 6pm every weekday and then have 7-8 hour track meets on the weekends. My DH is also a coach for track so we work together, but I just feel like I will be missing out on some precious time with our baby. What would you do? Should I take a couple years off from coaching so I can spend time with her?We will be losing out on the money, but time is more precious than money right?Anyone ever have a similar experience? If so what did you do?...I am not the head coach, just an assistant, same with my DH.Thanks in advance. This question was asked Jan. 24, 2013 7:44pm
