Q: To coach or not to coach.

So I am a teacher and track and field coach for my district. I am 30 weeks pregnant right now and will be taking this Spring season off, however when next school year starts and the indoor track season starts I will be coaching again. However, I dont know if I really want to coach. I would be coaching from the beginning of November until the end of May (indoor and outdoor)I do get paid to do it,but I would work from 7 am until 6pm every weekday and then have 7-8 hour track meets on the weekends. My DH is also a coach for track so we work together, but I just feel like I will be missing out on some precious time with our baby. What would you do? Should I take a couple years off from coaching so I can spend time with her?We will be losing out on the money, but time is more precious than money right?Anyone ever have a similar experience? If so what did you do?...I am not the head coach, just an assistant, same with my DH.Thanks in advance.

How flexible is your school about having baby around during practice? I ran track in high school and our coach actually brought her baby with her to practice. We were an all girls' school so we loved it, and there were always plenty of volunteers to help with baby between running drills. Something to consider, at least, if it is really something you enjoy and would still like to spend time with baby :)
