Q: A little stressed, advice appreciated!

Hi ladies, just wondering if anyone can help.. I'm currently 39 weeks pregnant and just recently has my employer told me I will not be recieving Statutory Maternity Pay because I did not earn enough. My employers have told me to apply for Maternity Allowance but I'm having such a stressful time applying. First of all I need 4 payslips to show proof of income (I recently moved house and have no idea where they are) so I cant send my forms off until I recieve duplicates from my employer. Secondly you have to claim within 3 months of when you started maternity leave.. for me that is on the 27th of February or I won't recieve the money and I am so stressed that I don't have enough time to sort it out. I just wanted everything sorted before DD arrival but I can't see that happening. Can any of you ladies offer advice on Maternity Allowance or what I should do?
I'm getting worried that we won't have money for my baby!
Thanks x

I think its awful that your employer told you so late on for a start!! They need to sort it asap. You should try ringing who you receive the maternity allowance from and explain the situation your in and see if there is anyway they could extend it or something? I hope you get it sorted soon x
