Q: How long should I wait to fb my news?

I have a super close knit family and can't imagine not telling them right away. But what about fb? This is my second pregnancy and my first went fine but... I don't know. I guess the worst that can happen is I'll have that much more support if things don't go according to plan. What do you think?

I haven't announced mine on FB, or even too all of our friends and family. I am 18 weeks right now. This is my 2nd pregnancy, my first ended in PrePROM at 26 weeks and our son passed away. It is a personal choice. We've had wonderful support in the last year from friends and family. Some people really surprise you with their support. But we have decided to wait until we reach the 30s this time, or until after baby arrives!

With my first pregnancy I announced it when I was about 8 weeks along but I lost the baby at 16 weeks. Now that we have figured out why I lost the baby last time, this time around I'm going to wait until after I have the procedures needed to take care of the baby before I say anything on FB.

I waited until I was 9 weeks just because we had some problems and it looked like I was getting false positives. We had to make completely sure that we were expecting. We tried waiting until the 1st trimester was over, but I was too excited. lol

I haven't announced it yet and I'm almost 14 weeks. But I'm going to my 3rd ultrasound in two weeks and I think I'll announce it then

I'm not planning on telling FB until maybe I'm 5 months pregnant or whenever it starts to show. It's my first pregnancy. My friend announced on FB right when she found out at 5 weeks! I thought it was crazy to do but it was her first pregnancy and she has a very healthy cute baby girl now. You never know. I would wait.

I waited until my first drs appointment. Once we heard the heartbeat and ultrasound looked good.

We are waiting on FB until 13 weeks because while some are close friends, there are distant family and not as close friends and I just don't think I need them knowing should something happen to go wrong. We've seen the heartbeat twice and are going again Friday at 10 wks and I still don't think we'll do it earlier.

I did the same thing and thought well nothing went wrong with my first 2 so announced it at 8 weeks on fb and ended up miscarrying at 13 weeks and it was nice having all the support and not realizing how common it was amongst my friends. It's truly up to how confident you feel.
