I love questions like this because people's opinions vary sooo much. I did not find out with my first. It didn't matter what I was having. I knew I'd love it no matter what (and I'm not a huge fan of pink or blue). With this one though, I plan on finding out simply because my daughter is 7 now and I think the preparation for her will be easier if she knows it's a baby brother or a baby sister. Any further pregnancies, though, and I'm going back to leaving it as a surprise.

I kind of want to try the intelligender at 10weeks just to see what it says then find out the sex.. I really wanted it to be a surprise but I know hubby wants to know so we'll most likely find out. Has anyone tried Intelligender?

We did not find out with our first because she was turned around and legs closed every time Dr tried to check.
Turned out it was a girl and it was a great surprise. With the 2nd we wanted to know to prepare our daughter who was almost three at the time. She needed the preparation to help her feel more in control of being a big sister and not left out. With the third we found out early with the DNA / Chromosomal test since I am 35. And i wanted to know so that I could prepare for her arrival. This pregnancy is already a great surprise for me so I didnt want more. I would say the first is best for waiting but after that you need as little surprises as possible to plan with your growing family. And I hated everything being neutral colored by the way. It is so boring to have yellow and white everything!

I am finding out the gender of my twins next Saturday! I'm impatient. I can't wait for anything. I'm paying for an elective ultrasound at 16 weeks to find out.

It is our first and we are going to find out-I wanted the surprise but my husband really wants to know and I am fine making him so happy. Most of our stuff will be gender neutral anyway for the next one that comes along but it will be fun when we know to be able to buy something if we know it's a boy or girl and fall in love with it. I've seen a few girl things I would have loved to have already :)

To me there was no question about it. I want to know. I want to be able to be prepared for whichever. Sure it can come out wrong but the chances are extremely low of that nowadays.

I found out with all my babies. And I will again with this little one. It doesn't bother me what we're having, but we always like to know.
