Q: Ways to announce pregnancy on Christmas?

I want to tell my parents about my pregnancy on Christmas and I'm wanting ideas as how to do it...other than saying 'i'm pregnant'. I'm thinking of something tangible/ visual, maybe something they can open? Any ideas?

Well all of my family lives far away so DH and I are making our Christmas cards this year with our "hidden" announcement in it. Our son just turned one on Dec. 7th, and we had professional pictures taken. One of the shots is of our son wearing a tshirt that says "I'm going to be a Big Brother August 2014" So we are hoping that my parents and other family member will love this as an announcement...as apposed to just telling them. =)

I'd wrap booties or something since you don't have an ultrasound or anything yet. I gave my mom for mother's day a book called "Going to the beach with Grandma" or something. It was fun watching her figure it out.

You could frame your ultrasound pics and wrap it up for a gift

We done ours early!

But we put a little blue for of booties in a gift box and wrapped it up with a bow and said 'thought we would give you this Christmas present early' they pulled out the booties, paused for a few seconds then erupted in screams!! It was so good watching them figure it out for themselves!!! :)

Goodluck!!!
