Q: Lactation/leaking colostrum?

Just curious as to when you ladies started noticing that you were leaking colostrum. I haven't noticed anything yet and was just wondering when I could expect this to happen. I'll be 29 weeks on Thursday.

It's funny that you just posted this a couple days ago, because tonight I just woke up from my nap and realized that I leaked a little and I'm only 11 weeks. I was freaking out for a minute there lol!

I first leaked at something like 17 weeks but it hasn't been consistent. It comes and goes but it's mostly after sex. I know that's tmi but there it is!

Lots of friends have said they didn't until closer to 36 weeks, but I started noticing it for me at about 22 weeks. I was very surprised. It comes and goes for me. This weekend I was leaking a couple times a day, last week was pretty dry. Sometimes I can even feel it coming on. It's all very strange. But I trust that our bodies know what they are doing and will be ready when it's time to for baby to make the big appearance!

This is my 3rd baby, with my other two pregnancies I started lactating around 16wks, and this one I did at 18 weeks. Some women have it others do not notice it or even have it until after baby is born. Nothing to worry about.

28 weeks for me and about the same for my last baby. Sometimes it doesn't happen at all for some women. It isn't something to worry about. :)
