Q: Is it worth it to invest in Maternity pants?

Ive heard from a few of my family friends that its not really worth buying the maternity pants as they are less attractive and that if you just work with your regular jeans its easier and more comfertable. Im not sure wether its worth the investment or not. Any Opinions???

It's worth it! I've gained five pounds so far (I'm 18 weeks) but it's all to my belly - I've weighed this much before, but my figure is completely different since I'm pregnant. At first all my pants started feeling tighter, then as I get farther along, they would ride up from where they used to sit on my hips to higher up nearer my natural waist, creating nearly constant wedgies. I had some other pants in larger sizes, but my figure is different where they didn't fit right either. Maternity pants are super comfortable, no one can even see the the stretchy elastic top part when you are wearing them, plus they don't feel tight or like they are going to fall down. I don't get why people try to avoid them - they are great!

I think maternity pants are amazing and so very comfy. You can find some really nice ones at the motherhood maternity store if you have one, and if not they also have a website for their clothes. I find that alot of my maternity clothes were alot more stylish and comfy than my normal clothes and I didnt want to give them up after my first pregnancy...I would have hated to wear my regular jeans during that pregnancy especially because my belly got so big. I think its a great investment personally

I used the belly band until the end of my 6 month and I really wish that I would have bought pants sooner...I'm so much more comfortable now!

I bought a BeBand because a friend of mine told me she used it with her old jeans through her whole pregnancy. I hate it. To me it felt very uncomfortable and felt like my pants were going to fall off. I went to Good Will and Salvation Army and found a ton of clothes for really cheap. And because they are only used for a few months, they are pretty much brand new.

I'm not that far along yet, but I'm shopping around for maternity pants. If you don't mind used, Ebay is a great resource. A lot women are selling nice name brand maternity jeans in near perfect condition. Because as you said, some women end up not using them a lot. I have also seen women, who are selling jeans only used once or twice because they ended up on bed rest and so on.

My plan is just to pick up 2 or 3 pairs of good quality and cute jeans. I got one already for 10 bucks. If you don't end up using them, you can always turn around and resell to a local consignment. Some maternity and baby stores will let you trade in your maternity clothes for baby clothes. I

I bought a few pairs on sale Jeans, Black dress and black leggings that along with my sweats have worked great for me. Have a few tops but thats because the baby's grandma has gone a little nutty over me and our little peanut with this being her first grandbaby. But mostly I have found I can still wear most of my tops too. Good Luck!
