Q: Please help?!?!?

I have been in slow labour since Tuesday. I had a sweep Tuesday and another on Thursday. I was told that I am 1 cm dilated and my cervix was soft but thick. I am about 3/5 engaged and as a result my labour isn't really progressing because the babies head isn't pushing down enough. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do? I am exhausted due to lack of sleep and looking after my 4 year old. Any suggestions would be appreciated. TIA x

My early labor was about 26hrs but he was back to back at the time so the pain was STUPID! walking walking and more walking is the best advice I have, baby's head drops lower as you walk, it rubs the cervix and will help it soften and open. Don't try the pineapple or curry because the idea behind them is that they give you diarrhea which makes the baby come but trust me it will just make you miserable especially as you are technically already in labor.
Raspberry Leaf Tea is meant for the second stage to be drunk before labor itself and can make contractions worse if drunk during the first stage without actually providing any help to speeding up the process.
A warm bath or shower will help give you a break from the discomfort but honestly walk walk walk. Hold in there, can't be much longer.
