Q: Working in an oncology office

I am currently working in an oncology office as an admixtuve technician. I told my boss as soon as I found out I was pregnant knowing that I could no longer mix the medications. However, she now has an issue with me being in the lab where the hood is located. My doctor says it's fine. Has anyone else been in a similar situation?

I work in oncology too. (As a pharmacist - mixing). If there is anything else they'd let you do I jump at. If you start reading the warnings on some of those products you shouldn't even handle the outer packaging whill pregnant. Risk may be low but it is definitely there. Can they move to you another section during your pregnancy and then move you back after?

Get a letter of clearance from your doctor stating you are able to preform your normal work duties, she 's probably just concerned and worried. Get the letter ;-)
