Q: Belly size.

Hi, so I'm 16w4d pregnant and almost all the people I know are telling me that I have no belly and that means I'm having a girl. Could they be right about it?? They saying boys make you show earlier than girls.

That's a load of balony. LOL
I have showed very early with this girl from 10-12 weeks you could tell I was pregnant and my first girl I didn't show until 23 weeks, never went into maternity clothes with her.
It has more to do with how many children you've had or if it's your first and it definitely depends on your body size and type and of course every pregnancy is different.

I think it all depends on you. Are you athletic? Do you do any core training? Even just alot of walking can strengthen your tummy muscles. The stronger your core the longer it will take for you to show.

I've had a boy and a girl and I didn't show any different, how you carry doesn't have to do with the sex, its to due with your body and baby and placental position in uterus, how much fluid is around baby, how much your bloated, how many pregnancies you've had and so on, so many things but not the sex of the baby. Nothing but a really clear ultrasound or the baby being born are going to tell you one way or the other, but I will say that a good Chinese birth predictor is pretty darn accurate, or at least it was bang on for me and all my girlfriends, I even went back and checked it for me and my brother and it was all accurate, pretty cool haha but even though it was accurate I still wouldn't rely on it to tell me the gender without a doctor agreeing ;) here is a good one if you want to see for fun

With my first daughter I did not show until I was 30 weeks, with my second daughter I did show but did not have a big belly (my second was born 6 years ago). But now with this one I'm the same size and I have gained only 4 pounds so maybe I'm having another girl or I just don't big. But I have a feeling it's a boy so in month I'll know for sure. Thanks for the answers.

With both my boy and girl I started showing about 13 weeks, my muscles couldn't hold the bloat in!

I'm having a baby girl and started showing very early probably around 10 weeks or so. I have all my weekly photos on my profile if you would like to take a look. This is my first child after a miscarry last year, but that was at 9 weeks. So I didn't start to show yet. So I think that is all a lie. Hope this helps!
