Q: 14 weeks 5 days...having a lot of trouble at work...

I am a CNA at a nursing home. I get up at 3:45 to drive 2 minutes down the road to work. I feel fine up until I actually get inside. In the past week I've been sent home twice for fainting (once while I was in a residents room) and once for constantly being in the bathroom getting sick. I honestly can't afford to lose my job but my little peanut is 100x more important than anything. Has anyone else had these issues?! Feeling a little lost and alone.

I had issues feeling sick once I got to work (work in a hospital) turned out that it was the car ride giving me motion sickness that would take hours of choking everything down. My MD gave me zofran which I have to take every morning before leaving the house and it lasts about 12 hours, just enough time to get home and comfy before it wears off. Also noticed for me short trips using sea bands and cracking the window helps. Im 18 weeks and have a 45 min drive to work (still taking zofran 5 days a weeks). Your not alone!

I assume you have told your work you are pregnant. No need to worry about your job can you imagine the work place discrimination if they were to give a pregnant woman any trouble. They'd have a unfair work suit placed against them so fast. Try and relax and I agree speak to your doctor and try and get some meds for when you need them. Good luck Hun. X
