Q: Baby is still not in position @ 36 weeks 4 days. C-section scheduled for 39 weeks.

I went to my check up and my doctor could not feel my babies head. then she checked for the heart beat, and said it was waaaay up there (sitting really high). at my last appointment my baby was oblique. now she is transverse lie. Her back is over the top of my belly with hr arms and legs at the bottom, ive been having regular braxton hicks, very painful tho. and im dilated 1cm. i will be 37 weeks on sunday. She made my c section date for the 16th, (39 weeks) im so nervous. 2 vag deliveries and now this.

has anyone ever had their babies in the transverse position at 36 weeks and it go head down before 39 weeks? I'm terrified of being cut open :(

Visit spinning babies dot com. Lots of good things to try there. Also ask your doc what you can ask for before your csection to make it more positive.

C sections don't have to be the horror stories some women make them out to be. I had 2 and absolutely loved them :) I go to see my babies right away, and be skin to skin as I was sewn up. Then they went with daddy while I went to a recovery room for about an hour. I healed up wonderfully both times with very little pain. Try not to worry and look up positive c section stories. In the mean time, as mammy said, it may not even come to that :)
