Q: Is cramping normal

I just got my positive on Thursday but I am cramping so much that I keep thinking AF is coming. Is that normal? Its not horribly painful but I don't remember this happening with my first child.

hey there. I was experiencing the same exact thing from 4 weeks until about a week ago. I am now 6 weeks. I still get an occasional twinge of cramp every now and then, but from everything I've read, it's completely normal. I have had 4 children aside from this pregnancy, and I never had cramping that I can remember before this pregnancy with any of my others. So, every pregnancy is different, and yes, your cramping is most likely just the normal stretching of the uterus. Good luck! xo

I had cramping right up until my first scan at 8 weeks, my Doctor told me it was perfectly normal. My Mum even mentioned to me yesterday that she had it with both me and my younger brother until she was 12 or 13 weeks pregnant. Unless you have any other symptoms like headaches, fever or bleeding, I wouldn't worry :-)
Congratulations xx
