Q: What are your favorite maternity jeans and where did you get them?

I've never, ever had jeans that I like or are even remotely comfortable during pregnancy. I prefer a full belly panel, nothing skinny, and roomy in the thighs. I've tried Oh, Mama! from Kohls, several Motherhood styles (all of which I found to be uncomfortable and unflattering), and Liz Lange with an adjustable waist from Target. I had a pair of Oh, Mama! capris that were okay, but I'm due in April, so will need warm weather clothes. This is my 6th pregnancy (two have carried to term) and tend to need maternity jeans super early to accommodate bloating, then an early baby bump. I'm super frugal and don't know if I'll ever be pg again, so my budget is low. I live in a small town with no maternity stores, so I'll either have to go out of town or order online. I'm handy with a sewing machine, so I may try converting regular jeans into maternity by adding a band, but I thought I'd reach out and see if anyone has located the elusive comfortable maternity jean!

I've gotten all my maternity clothes at Burlington Coat Factory. I've had majority of them since 2009. Everything from sun dress to sweater to jeans and even khakis. I love that place.

I'm thinking of trying to sell some stuff there, too! I got three pairs of jeans, a cardigan, and a hoodie for $45! I wish the items had better descriptions on some things, but it's pretty cool.

When I was pg with my first, the MM jeans cut off my circulation at the thighs. When I was pg with my second, they were like big pipes from hip to ankle. Super unflattering :-/. Granted, I always got their lowest grade jeans. I don't know if the "cuter" ones might be cut better. I did pick up a cheap pair of MM jeans from swap. They looked like their nicer ones and were at a decent price. I only hope I haven't jinxed myself buying clothes this early.

I like liz lange as well. funny though that I bought a 12 and they are fvery full panel I got a size 6 ( closer to my pre size) and the panel is almost non existant. lol but the jeans part both fit about the same , weird. I didn't even know old navy sold maternity. that's awesome cuz I need some new tops. I have 3 motherhood tops but they were the only ones I could find that I liked and I def need more. I have one pair of motherhood and the panel fits all the way to bu bust lol. plus the legs are way to straight.

I just placed an order with swap.com and got three different brands. One is Old Navy and they looked pretty roomy in the thighs. The listing had the size as M (8-10), so hopefully they'll work. I figured that, if nothing else, I can transfer the belly band onto a pair of jeans that I like. I got one pair with side panels that might be good for this bloated phase when belly panels are overkill, but regular jeans get uncomfortable. I'd never used swap.com before, so I don't know what to expect. One pair still had tags at least.

All the old navy maternity jeans I have are actual sizes, not just s, m or l. I wear an 8-10 in regular jeans and all my maternity jeans are 8's. I also have rather large thighs and most of them are made with a bit of spandex which I loved because it gave them just the right amount of stretch while still holding their shape and being flattering. I wore demi panel from 8 weeks til about 5 months and then switched to full panel and I liked them all.

I wish we could edit posts. haha I promise I can spell accommodate haha. I do all my posting from my phone and the format of this board makes proofreading from your phone difficult.

Thanks for the suggestions! I haven't hiven Old Navy a try because I too dislike their regular jeans and feel like they don't accomidate larger butts and thighs. I can only get ON online and don't want the hassle of having to return. So, if I typically wear a size 10 in jeans, will their M maternity jean likely fit? It says it's for 8-10.

I don't normally like Old Navy jeans (I like all of their other stuff though) but I ordered a pair of their maternity ones and like them a lot. Also ordered a pair of their jean shorts and like them too. Both are full panel.
