Q: Has anyone had high test results on their Quad Scan for Inhibin A?

I have a really high score of Inhibin A on my Quad Screening. I am only 23 years old and have no family history of Downs Syndrome. But my test results came back and I went from having a 1 in 1100 chance of having a baby with Downs to a 1 in 12. Everything else looked fine. I now have to go see a Genetic Counselor, and I was wondering if anyone has been or is in a situation like this or similar..

I don't know what component of the quad came back to up my odds for Down Syndrome, but I went up to 1 in 50 ( I think??) and also had to see a genetic counselor. I was an emotional wreck, despite my doctor and the genetic counselor reiterating that there was still a low chance of it actually being Down's. We ended up doing the Verifi (Materniti25, Harmony, etc.) test where they draw my blood and see if I have the expected number of chromosomes in the sample. I did a lot of googling while we waited for the results and found A TON of women who had odds in the 1:2 and 1:10 range that all had babies who did not end up having Down's. Our baby ended up not testing positive for Down's after all and the genetic counselor told us that we should not do the screening test in any future pregnancies since if you test at a greater risk to it once, you are likely to again... it can be just something that your body produces in different quantities compared to the "norm".
