Q: Can I find a new job while pregnant? Disclose or no? Can't stay at my current company. :(

On top of catching a cold and developing a nasty case of impetigo (which has me excused from work until Wednesday) my boss just got fired. My boss was literally the coolest, most laid-back dude EVER, and the fact that he cared more about our department than the money was the only reason I've stuck with a company that doesn't believe I deserve more than minimum wage.

Does anyone have any experience with finding and securing a new job while pregnant? I've done my research and it looks like there's a lot of conflict about whether to disclose one's pregnancy up front or wait until after the job has started. Since I'm only 8 weeks, I don't really want to tell anyone due to the possibility of loss, but I also don't want to seem deceitful later on. :(

Any advice or experience stories welcome, thank you.

It depends on what field you work in, in my opinion. I turned down a job because I found out I was pregnant, but I also work in healthcare so "not disclosing" is simply not an option for me for safety purposes. So it really depends; as you said, you're still super early, so if you feel more comfortable waiting to disclose, I think that's perfectly reasonable.

I'm 24 weeks and have gone through three jobs and didn't tell any of them I was pregnant. They can't Fire you for not disclosing it.

I wouldn't say anything. As you said your only 8 weeks. No one will want to employ someone that is going to be taking maternity leave in a few months. Of course this is just my opinion. I guess it depends which country you are from also. Best of luck :-)
