I think you should have a baby shower. Dont let anyone tell you other wise. And no, you can add big things. cribs, stroller and carseat (you can find them together), tub, clothes, etc. Creating the registry is so much fun. Plus babies r us gives you 10% back after you give birth on everything that was purchased. Enjoy this. Congrats and goodluck

I agree 7 years is a long time. As a previous poster mentioned if someone does not agree they do not have to attend. LOL

My kids are as follows - 17, 9, 7. and my shower is Nov 12th. 7 years is a Long time. And if anyone has anything bad to say about it - tell them you are perfectly fine if they "can't" make it :) :)
Target and Babies R Us both have a "must have" list that you an look through to get ideas of what you need. Pic everything you want and what you get is great - what you don't, then you can either get or decide to live without.
I am breastfeeding also - you still need bottles - for when you are ready to use your stored breastmilk. I used the old fashion ones that you pump into a bottle then pour into a bag - freeze then thaw and pour back into a bottle with my 7 y/o - this time i am using the Kiinde set - its direct pump into the bags - freeze - thaw and the bags attach to the bottle. SO MUCH EASIER!!! lol but more expensive. do a little research - it goes a LONG way!!!!
CONGRATS ON # 4!!!! Hope you have a blast at your shower!!!

In this matter, your best counselor is a doctor. Only he can give a sensible recommendation on this issue. And do not give up. After all, you can hurt the child.
Why do we need to test fate?
Save your time and do not be nervous. Everything gonna be alright.
Just be careful to approach this task.

I don't think there is anything wrong with having a shower for a second/third/forth child. I think they should all be cherished just like the first. I would think about putting one or two bottles on your registry, just in case. The last thing you want to do is run to the store if you find out that breastfeeding does not work for you. I was planning on breastfeeding, but my son would not latch. I put anything and everything on my registry, big and small items. Some people went in together to get some of the larger, or i bought them myself. (Babies R Us gives 10% back to you on items purchased from your registry).
Some other items to consider: Car seat, Baby proofing items, Toys, Books, Stroller, baby carrier. Really anything you think you might need the first year.
Hope this helps and congrats on the 4th baby.
