Q: Suggestions for comfort??

I am an accounting specialist and I am currently 21 weeks. I have been getting lower backaches and shoulder aches the longer I sit, but my job is an 8-hour job and a lot of it is sitting at my desk on my computer. Does anyone have any suggestion for comfort? I can't leave my job this early due to my pregnancy. I planned on working until the baby is born in February.

What if you tried a few simple yoga poses and stretches that you can do in your desk area? You could get up 2 or 3 times a day and do those and I think you might get some relief. Or what about one of those beanbag pillows that you can heat up in the microwave?

Have you ever been to a chiropractor? Sitting all day pulls your shoulders forward to start with and now you have all this additional weight on the front adding to it. Seeing a chiro has helped me immensely! Also... any chance you have access to a standing desk at work or could convert your desk to one for a few hours each day? It might sound weird if you haven't tried it, but it is REALLY nice.

I'm in the same situation! Also at an accounting firm, and my lower back pain keeps getting worse. I'm considering going to physio because it become intolerable as the day goes on. I think it's called posterior pelvic pain.

Hey. There comes a time when it becomes difficult. Your work requires attentiveness and great workload. Back pain says that the body does not like this attitude. If you do not want to lose your job, then change your schedule. Get up more often and do the exercises. Put yourself a comfortable chair. The bigger the belly, the more inconvenience. If it is possible, then take work home. At home, do a back massage. It well relieves muscle tension. For a child, this is also bad. He does not like your monotonous pose. He will beat you in the stomach. Maybe it will be convenient to work standing up. Still you will have to change often the position of the body.
