Q: First ultrasound showed small hemorrhage

Has any other mum to be been told that they have a small hemorrhage outside the uterus during their ultrasound?
I am 7 weeks and 4 days. The radiologist wasn't able to give any other details so I'm waiting to see my midwife, though my next appointment is 2 weeks away.......

I had a sub chorionic hem as well but I found mine at 12 weeks, I had to be on bed rest and two weeks later it was gone. I am now 35 weeks.. Hope it works out for you

Thanks ericalee for your answer. It's reassuring to know that you have been through a similar experience and had a positive outcome. Though how scary for you to have the larger bleed at 8 weeks. I'm definitely going to take it easy (well as easy as I can with a very active 2 yr old) until I get some confirmation from my midwife. Once again thank you for answering my question :)

Yes, I had a SCH (subchorionic hematoma) when I was pregnant with my daughter. I was told to be a couch potato - no exercising, pelvic rest, etc. They do put you at a higher risk of miscarriage, but are also fairly common. Mine went away on its own around 12 weeks. It was discovered around 6 weeks and I had some spotting and one rather large bleed around 8 weeks that was terrifying, but she was perfectly fine. She is a healthy, 18 month old now :) It really depends on how big the SCH is and where it is located in relationship to the baby, so hopefully you are able to get some answers from your midwife even before your next appt. Although if they didn't say anything... maybe it is small and nothing to worry about?
