Q: Could this be a chemical pregnancy?

I am on cycle day 35 of an expected 28 day cycle (6 days late). I've taken about 20 pregnancy tests. There appeared to be the faintest of lines on a few of the tests, but then started getting more stark white negatives afterwards. I've had pregnancy symptoms similar to my last three pregnancies and none of my normal premenstrual symptoms. I was expecting the tests to get darker and darker.

I just felt a gush, I wiped and there was a little bit of blood and in the toilet I passed what appears to be tissue, it's whitish/grey, with a little maroon blood on it. Just a little larger than a nickel. And I've been cramping horribly since. It is worse than my normal period cramping. Also, more blood? Not as much as my normal beginning period flow, but more than spotting.

Could this have been a chemical pregnancy? I'm assuming the odds of there being any viability is slim to none at this point. Should I contact my doc? Anything I should look out for? Any advice is appreciated.

I'm so incredibly sorry but that sounds like pretty much exactly what happened with all 5 of my chemical pregnancies. :( Take as long as you need to grieve and be kind to yourself. Hopefully you'll get your take-home baby soon.

If the tests are getting lighter, it certainly sounds like a CP. Sorry for your loss.

sounds like it. When I lost my two at 4 weeks I had a very faint positive but it never got darker and then I started bleeding so I knew i had lost it. There is nothing that you need to do at this point. If you only bleed for a day or so I would take another test just to see, sometimes women bleed in the first few weeks. I'm sorry, even very early miscarriages bring some sadness.
