I misscarried on March 7, 2011. My birthday. :( I was 8 weeks pregnant. I found out I was pregnant on Feburary 1st. Did not get a blood test until the 7th.
On my first draw during that pregnancy my PROG level was 12 two days later it was 9. She put me on a PROG supplement. I misscarried anyway. This time I found out I was pregnant on May 3rd had my first blood test on the 4th. My PROG was 11 on the 6th it went down to 10. She again has put me on PROG suppliment. I go back the 8th for more blood work. Anyone with similar experience? Should I worry?

I'm soooo sorry for you losses! I am also on progesterone after several early losses. Why can't you just keep some suppositories in your fridge for whenever you get your BFP and then you can self-prescribe so you don't have to wait for the doc? That said, I am hopeful and positive for you this time around! What strength did they give you and how many times a day to you use them? I'm just now entering into my 13 week and will stop using tomorrow. I'm scared to stop using it. They say at this point the baby's placenta has taken over the hormone job so we'll see. Fingers crossed for both of us!! How far along were you when you started the prog this time and how long have you been on it?

dmpage how are you feeling stopping the prog? I am on it nightly and will stop in a couple of weeks and I am nervous although I KNOW the placenta takes over and I don't need it, I still worry lol!!

Hi Jeni. I was really nervous to get off of it at first but now, it's actually ok. I think after suffering losses you are never OK, but you get what I mean. We're 14 weeks today and I stopped at 12 weeks ... here's to hoping and praying!

They tell me we're having a girl...a sister to her two older brothers? I still don't believe it!!

Hi ladies! Sorry I'm a bit late to the convo.

I'm on progesterone inserts too, 100 2x daily until further notice... One tip: make sure you lay down immediately after taking them, otherwise I think it leaks out faster than it absorbs. Also, don't be afraid to ask for an increased dose, or to try the progesterone in oil, if you would be more comfortable. My friend had to do the shots through her entire pregnancy because her levels were way too low. Some doctors argued with her that the placenta takes over, but for her, it still wasn't enough. She delivered a beautiful, healthy boys. So again, don't be afraid to ask for more testing and more progesterone! I wish you much, much luck and a very healthy little one!!! :)
