About Me

I'm a mommy of four: three girls and a boy: Caydence (03.08.05 @ 35 weeks -emergency induction), Serenity (08.24.08 @ 39 weeks -home birth), Landen (08.19.10 @ 38 weeks -freeway ambulance birth), and Makaiyah (03.08.12 @ 33 weeks -emergency induction).

Baby five was a complete surprise as we were preventing. Our daughter, Serenity kept talking about "the babies" and I thought she meant her little sister and her little brother but she told me "No! Makaiyah and the new baby!" After having no period show up after the birth of our newest addition and having Renny keep talking about this "new baby" we decided to get a test and I took it in the bathroom at Chuck E Cheeses. It was instantly a very dark positive. My test several days later was even darker and there was NO mistaking that I was pregnant again.

We have had a lot of negative backlash concerning this pregnancy but those who care, whether they agree with our choice to keep the baby or not, support our decision.

My pregnancy is considered extremely high risk. I see the same high risk doctor have I seen for all my pregnancies and I get ultrasounds at every appointment due to the risk of having a third IUGR baby & preemie.

My Birth Plan

I have learned over the years that my birth plans have always gone straight out the window so I honestly dont even bother with them anymore. My pregnancies are usually eventful and things can go from great to horrible in a blink of an eye so we just take it one day at a time.

A bit of my history...I've had recurrent miscarriages, all my pregnancies have been very high risk, I've had two full term babies and two premature babies.

Caydence was born on March 8th, 2005 at 35 weeks via emergency induction. She was 4lbs 10oz 17", 2:16 am and spent roughly a day in the NICU. I had Placenta Accreta with her. 10 hour labor. IUGR baby.

Serenity was born on August 24th, 2008 at 39 weeks on the couch at my parent's house. She was 6lbs 6oz 18.5", 12:46 am and she was my easiest pregnancy. I just had a lot of preterm labor with her. 9 hour labor.

Landen was born August 19th, 2010 at 38 weeks on the I-15 Freeway in the ambulance. He was 6lbs 1oz 18.25", 7:06 am. I had a lot of preterm labor with him, early dilation and effacement. 1 hour labor.

Makaiyah was born March 8th, 2012 at 33 weeks via emergency induction though technically I was on hospital bedrest and during my daily morning NST it was noted that I was in labor already. My doctor just induced to keep it going but after an hour took out the Cervidal as it wasnt needed. She was 3lbs 8.3oz 16", 2:16 pm, and went straight to the NICU after birth and that is where she stayed for 32 days. IUGR baby. She stopped growing at 29.1 weeks.
