About Me
This will be our first child. I have a decidedly bicornuate uterus, so though we're due around Thanksgiving, it may be that the munchkin makes an early appearance. Every week past 24 will be a milestone and a blessing. My Birth Plan
Well, since the little guy or girl is currently head-up and has been every time we've checked, it's likely that s/he will remain that way in the coming weeks as the space becomes increasingly snug. Hence, a cesarean is likely in my future. So I suppose my working birth plan is to be numb from the waist down for the duration. On the other hand, DH and I will be taking some birthing classes, just in case the munchkin surprises us and wiggles into a head-down position. In the event of a more traditional birth, I'd like to use TENS for pain, if available. If not, I can't say I have the pain tolerance or the gumption to go completely natural and I might consider alternatives, including drugs.
