About Me
Well, after 2 years and 3 chemical pregnancies(less than 5 weeks along), I am happy to say I am pregnant again with the help of IVF! I just hit 29 weeks and feel pretty good about this pregnancy. Still so hard to believe I'm finally here. I really didn't think it would happen again. I think because it took us so long this time it really feels like this is my first pregnancy in terms of excitement. I should mention that I have a 3.5 year old boy who is one of the major reasons we wanted another child. I adore him and loved every bit of his growing up and couldn't imagine not doing it all over again. I have a scheduled c-section around the 39th week due to placenta previa. This is of course unless the placenta has moved up which I will find out on the 20th. For now I'm just counting down the weeks until I get to meet my little girl!My Birth Plan
Well, I my plan was to do a natural water birth at a hospital and go from there but...my body has other plans lol. Due to having placenta previa I will be delivering at 39 weeks if not a bit before that. It will be a c-section so that puts the kibosh on any sort of plans that I had lol. Am I scared? You bet your butt I am! However, after all is said and done I would gladly deliver this little bundle through my nose if I had to haha!As for when baby arrives, I fully intend to breastfeed and after the struggle to do so with my son I know I can do it again. With my son I produced a sad amount of milk and had to seek help from a lactation consultant and a lovely little pill called Domperidone, not to be confused with Dom perignon lol (I wish!). I'm hoping this time around I will produce enough milk that I won't have any issues at all. I plan to have baby sleep in a lovely mesh type convertible playpen beside my bed only for the first month. This worked like a dream with my son and due to the crib-like size of the playpen there was zero issues with my son adjusting to his crib. Best idea ever!
