About Me
After almost losing my life to a bilateral pulmonary embolism (blood clots in both my lungs) in August 2010, just 2 weeks before our wedding, my husband and I decided to wait a little while to start our family, to give my body plenty of time to heal.After being clot free for 2 years, we got the go ahead from our doctor to try, and I had my IUD out in October 2012. We found out we were pregnant in December and we were so excited. We were devastated when we found out in February that our baby was a girl and that she had passed due to a genetic condition called triploidy (69xxx). We were so heartbroken.
We welcomed our beautiful little boy, Max, into the world on March 22, 2014 and his perfect baby sister, Nina, joined our family on January 27, 2016.
