About Me

Have a 14yr old son from first marriage. Partner and I have been TTC for 4.5 yrs. Had m/c in November at 9.5 weeks :( (natural conception) My partner has 3 children from previous marriage, who come and go, so very busy household. We have our own business now, so luckily it is pretty flexible as I work from home. Plenty of time for rest (or so I thought)

This is our second cycle on Clomid 100mg. OB thought it would possibly give a better quality of egg (due to my age) Seemed to have worked so far, fingers crossed!!

Positive preg test at 8dpo (faint)
Progesterone taken 6 dpo- 102.9 (high)
Beta hCG
15dpo-360
17dpo-890
19dpo-1900
21dpo-4400

My Birth Plan

No birth plan yet. Just crossing fingers to make it to the 2nd Trimester.

Whatever comes will be well adored. My midwife told me this pregnancy I will be battling the tiredness (she had babies at 41 & 43) Well she is right, even at this early stage. I miscarried at 11 weeks last Nov, so am fairly nervous to get the first Trimester under my belt (lol) Twins, singleton, bring it on!! (not sure about triplets though-eeek)

Thank you :) I'm afraid I can't be of much help with the numbers.. The doctor never mentioned my levels, and I never thought to ask. I know that when my mom's friend ran my blood test at the clinic she said it came back that I was "very pregnant" hehe.. I don't know if that means my level was high, or if she was just being dramatic :)

I wasn't on any fertility treatment(s), so the thought of having twins really didn't enter my mind. It was a major shock when two showed up on the screen. I was about 5.5 weeks when I found out.

I've since read that the probability of twins goes up as you get older, and with you having the treatments, and a high level.. I'd bet your chances of more than one are pretty good!

Are you wanting twins? Good luck!
