About Me

DH & I have been married for 4+ years now. He already has 2 beautiful children ages 13 & 14...whom live with their mother. From the beginning he knew I wanted a child of my own.

We have been TTC for almost 2 1/2 years and started seeing a fertility specialist back in Nov 2013...since I am not getting any younger...I am 38 and DH is 40.

Sadly had 2 early miscarriages. The first one was after we had our first IUI and then we were told we could try on our own after at least 1 period and we got lucky but lost it again. :(

But now we have gotten lucky on our own. We were in an interim...our fertility specialist was sending us to an Advanced Fertility Specialist since we have had 3 failed IUI's...even though the first one worked, it didn't stick. But we never made it to the new Specialist. :) I guess 3rd times really the charm. I just keep praying that because the numbers are so good that this LO will stick.

Please God let this one stick!!!

-1st beta @ 13DPO= 136.1
-2nd beta @ 20DPO= 3394.0

My Birth Plan

Well, part of me doesn't see a point to a birth plan. Mostly because I don't know one person, where their birth plan came to work out for them.

What I have down is mostly what I would like to have done. Since I have to be induced. Due to taking Lovenox shots every night and having Gestational Diabetes.

My plan is to stop the Lovenox shots 24 hrs before the induction starts at the hospital. I am glad that the hospital only offers private rooms...yay! No sharing a room! :) I am also hoping that baby boy decides to come on his own right before the induction starts. But I'm praying he doesn't want to come before I stop the Lovenox shots, because then I can't have the option for an epidural.

I trust my doctors know best about the medications. So I will follow their lead. As for pain control, I plan to use the birthing ball and walk around. I would love to use the hospital jacuzzi, but if I have to go through the induction process, they need to monitor the baby at all times, and that means no jacuzzi, I am hoping I can still use the shower for hot water pain relief.

During the delivery, I plan to have my husband and my mom in there with me as well as the doctor and nurses. I don't mind having others visit before and after but not during. I don't want to many people in there while I am in pain.

Well I hope you're able to find rest as often as possible, and that the blues go away and stay away. Do you have anyone helping you out right now while you heal and take care of baby? I hope so.

Thanks for checking on me. No, absolutely no sign yet. I hope she decides to come on her own soon. We just keep waiting. How is your sweet new bundle? How are you feeling, emotionally and physically? I hope everything is going well <3
