About Me
After 6 months of TTC DH and I finally got our BFP with baby #2. I have a 3 yr old from a previous marriage. My DH is all my son has known as a father.I have known my DH since 1st grade :) We have always been friends. After my ex cheated and walked out on me and DS, DH asked me out on a date and said we deserved better than my ex. We have been together ever since. We aren't actually married (we are engaged) its just easier to call him my DH. We are doing a very LONG engagement because I am currently going to school part time/ at night and on weekends for my BSN in nursing. If we were to get married now, Id end up losing my PELL grant. My DH is all about penny pintching where we can, so long engagement it is. In the eyes of our family and friends we are already an old married couple. Even the guys at his firehouse say we are "firehouse married" :) Love those guys.
My Birth Plan
With my DS i wanted an unmedicated birth, in a birth tub at a hospital... but after being in active labor for a week that wasnt an option. I ended up getting pitocin (GODZILLA Contractions) and labored pain med free for 12 hours. Then the Dr said I should get some pain meds so I could rest so I had enough energy to push later (because I still wasnt dialated past a 5) and lessen my chance for needing a C-Section.... I opted for the Epidural. Got about 30 mins rest before I dialated fully and they broke my water. 3 pushes later my son was born.This time around I am still going to try for an unmedicated birth in a birth tub at a hospital, but i have switched OBs and hospitals. I also plan to do hypno Babies this time. But just like last time I will modify my plan if its needed.
