Hey! My name is Brooke! I am 22 yrs old. I just found out that I'm pregnant! Still in shock! Took my boyfriend (of 4 years) and I 6 months until we finally get to say we're PREGNANT!!!

Update: We are having a GIRL!!!!!!!

My Birth Plan

I guess I came into this pregnancy not really understanding all there is to labor and birth! Since finding out I have done a lot of reading about pain meds, different position, c-sections, tears...all the fun things!

I have decided that I would like to labor for as long as I can, but then definitely get the lovely epidural that I've heard so much about!

I would like it to only be the doc, nurses, and my boyfriend and I in the room throughout labor and delivery.

I would love to be able to push while in the reclining position. Also no surgical cuts allowed!!!!!

My boyfriend will be cutting the umbilical cord.

Once baby is cleaned off I want the baby to be handed to daddy right away and then to me!

I will then breastfeed as soon as I can.

Would really like no visitors for the first 2 hours.

And I want daddy or I present for everything that happens with baby girl!

I understand that plans can always change, so I will go into labor and delivery with a wish and a open mind!

	Comment from sydmama » Posted Apr. 10, 2012 10:38am Is her insurance going to cover it? I HATE that. I was driving through the mall parking lot, and went to stop at a atop sign, and this lady nailed my car door. Stupid head was not paying attention. I had my kids in the car.
	Comment from sydmama » Posted Apr. 10, 2012 10:09am It is this little fun test you can do to determine the gender of your baby. It isn't 100% by any means, but it is fun. You put some pee into this cup and swirl it around for about 20 seconds if I remember correctly and wait 5 minutes. Dark green is boy and orange is girl. You can get it at walgreens or rite aid and even babies r us. For around 30. And you can only do it as early as 10 weeks
