Burdock Brannen's Birth Story

He was a fast labor at home. The midwife only caught the last 20 mins and it was just me and my husband for most of the labor. There was not enough time to get the birth tub filled up and warm so he was birthed off the couch. We then all cuddled together in the bed after the midwife did her routine checkup on us. He was a full lotus birth and it took 4 days for his cord & placenta to fall off. :)

I also plan to try placenta encapulsation. Are you feeling better about the pregnancy since you've made it this far? I'm far enough along to feel movements now. It's SO reassuring. I can imagine that since you had such a late loss with Lyla you probably won't be able to fully relax until you can hold your little one in your arms, but I hope you enjoy each day of holding it inside, too!
