Owen thomas's Birth Story

Went to my dr appointment this morning and got my ultrasound. Fluid levels were low. I didn't find out till later that my fluid was at a 2. While waiting in the office I started cramping. Golly the pain was uncomfortable. So met with my dr and she asked if I had been leaking fluid. I said I wasn't sure but I thought so. She checked me and said I was 3 to cm and station 3 and that she could feel his ear. (earlier in the morning I sneezed and had liquid trickle down my leg.)
So my dr sent me to the hospital. With the intent to have this baby today or tomorrow regardless. Got to hospital and had to wait in the hall cause all the rooms were full. Since then I have been checked three times and my dr felt the babies head and let me know that she thinks my water broke this morning.
and now I am 5 cm and have yet to ask for my epidural. MY labor progressed smoothly and almost with no pain! my dr had me on pitocin to get the baby out as quick as possible...I was getting contractons every 2 to three minutes with close to no pain it was amazing. Finally after about 6 cm dilated i assked for my epidural. got it then my dr broke the rest of my water and within an hour and a half Owen was born!!! took me 2 pushes!

	Comment from TangleBirdie » Posted Apr. 28, 2013 12:36am hey sweetpea, i just read ur lil post on my profile and hought id say hi ;). so far all is well with baby #2 im being csectioned at 38 +3 so only. 32 days togo and fingers toes n eyes crossed ill finally have a live healthy baby that i can bring home. i feel like ive been pregnant forever and the stress and anxiety is really getting to me but i just try n keep positive n hope this time will end differently. i hope u and ur family are all doing well !!!

	Comment from onemor83 » Posted Mar. 19, 2012 9:02am we found out she has a heart murmur & one other thing wrong with her heart,not sure what it is,but the doctors aren't too concerned,but they will monitor her growth every few months...she had to get a preemie pacifier due to a sensitive gag reflex & short palate...her umbilical cord fell off after a wk but it hasnt healed correctly & it is still bleeding...she got constipated & the doctors kept switching her formula which only made it worse,she eventually got fishers & so I just put her back on her regular formula on my own & it cleared rite up :)....she stays gassy a lot....poor baby has been put through the ringer & shes not done yet,its almost time for shots :(....how about your baby boy??? how is he? how are you?
