I guess no more water birth? :(

I was tested Strep B positive and that means I will have to be on IV when giving birth, which means I won't be able to give birth in the water. I am very sad about it and I definitely didn't think of being on any type of antibiotics or drugs during labor and delivery. Sad news.
I'm 11 weeks today and day 4 out of 7 on penicillin to clear the UTI that is called by strep B. They told me that 30% of pregnant women are strep B positive. I just thought I was healthier than I turned out to be! :(

P.S. Luckily, everything else is perfect and I'm not even anemic as I thought I might be since I had serious anemia before. Yay! And just about an hour ago I heard my baby's heartbeat!

Yeah, I've heard about natural remedies. They found strep B in my urine, which means if it is present in the urine then it is pretty much all over my body and will likely won't be able to go away.

Normally they don't even test for this unless pre term labor or normal labor are due to start in next few weeks...

you still have a lot of time for the strep B to go away so its still not sure that u will test positive when u are full term. Dont worry just yet and stick to your plan.Good luck hun also there are a few natural remedies u can use like Garlic to help clear it out and prevent it from coming back.
