Nervous...
By rina9287 » Posted Jun. 30, 2014 5:05pm - 740 views - 3 comments

I've been getting contractions/cramps on and off for the past 4 days. Some are pretty painful and others just seem like tons of braxton hicks, but they are not consistent.
I had to go into labor and delivery on Sunday night because the baby didn't move all day. After a few sweet drinks at L&D, a lot of waiting, and some check-ups, he was in full action.
The nurses said he must be a heavy sleeper (like his dad) because all other tests came back well! The midwives did notice I was having pretty strong contractions, but at random intervals.
Doctors say it can possibly be any day this week that he'll arrive, but they can't tell for sure because labor is pretty unpredictable. I'm hoping he comes soon. At the same time....I can't explain how nervous I am now that I know that the labor experience is coming... :/ VERY very nervous! There are so many things going through my mind.
Any advice for the labor & delivery process/experience? Thanks for listening ladies and wishing you all the best!

Thanks ladies :) once the labor actually started, all my fears disappeared and I just became focused on the arrival of my baby. I was overcome with happiness, thank god, the fear disappeared!

Sounds like your body is warming up for the big event.
I was petrified about labour but I didn't even think about anything when labour kicked in, I swear I was in a hormonal daze where all I did was ride through the contractions until I needed to push. I didn't feel scared once.
Don't fret about baby, they say baby goes really still just before labour so that he stays in position and until hes out he won't move too much. Unless its my son who wiggled when he was halfway out and made the midwife laugh.
when thinking about labour just try to think about what you'll need, the positions you'll try and the one big goal, baby.
