Failed My 1 Hour Glucose Test...
By CaityMarie_ » Posted Oct. 8, 2015 2:14pm - 516 views - 11 comments

Yep. Just got the call back today. All blood tests we're normal, except the glucose one.
The only thing I noticed yesterday after my test, was how freaking tired & fatigued I felt( don't know if that was a normal side effect; or a precursor to failing the test).
So I get to schedule my 3 hour for next Wednesday... In the mean time my significant other won't let me eat any chocolate or cookies...(probably for the best, lol.)

On a positive note, my little one has been SO active lately :)
She's kickin' and squirmin' right now. Last night was the first night she woke me up out of a dead sleep.
Makes me wonder what she's doing in there <3

Agreed! The more I read on here and the web, the more I find out TONS of women fail the 1 hour...

I wish they would just tell people up front that failing the 1 hr test is more common than one thinks!

I think the orange drink and the fruit punch are the same thing because mine was orange in color and said fruit punch on it.

I'm not too worried either way, as long as baby girl is healthy :)

I forgot about the orange drink.... It'll either be that or fruit punch..
Thanks to the lemon-lime, I can never drink Sprite again :(

I personally have had the orange drink every time and I loved it lol

I failed my 1 hour test, but passed my 3 hour with flying colors. After telling my mom, she told me she had the same thing happen to her when she was pregnant with me, so we both got a laugh.
Don't sweat it if you do turn out to have GD, my best friend did, and she was able to monitor hers and keep it very well simply by monitoring her processed sugar (candy) intake. It wasn't as bad as I have always imagined it would be! As a bonus for her efforts, she dropped ALL of her pregnancy weight in her first week postpartum! I am still jealous!

Thank you ladies!
I have my test scheduled for 7am next Wednesday.
I'm definitely not choosing the lemon-lime drink this time....
Maybe I'll take MalPal85's past advice and try the fruit punch :)

I, along with many others, failed my 1 hour glucose test. I just barely passed my 3 hour but all the other women I've "talked" to on here passed it with flying colors. I didn't feel fatigued after it and kind of enjoyed the drink itself which is probably why I barely passed the 3 hour, haha. I've heard/read it's really more about the carbs than the sugar but I'll find out more next week.
