placenta previa accentra c section put forward .

So as I have had 4 c sections I was due to have 1 at 39 weeks. When I seen a conultants at 35 weeks he was horrified to see the sonographer who done my 20 week scan had not told him my placenta was anteria and low lying abutting os. I was sent for a emergency scan the next morning , a abdominal scan an vaginal scan an 4 hours later it was discovered I have placenta previa plus accentra.
I was told no sex no lifting minimal house work etc ( hard with 4 kids) my section has been put forward to 27 weeks which gives me 10 days to get sorted . Pre op is next Friday an I have to keep going in to bank blood. High risk of needing a hysterectomy :/ . Feeling a bit scared an I jst want these next 10 days to go quick so I can get the whole thing over an done with.

Glad they caught it though. I had an undiagnosed previa that caused massive hemorrhaging and i had to have my son via emergency section at 34 weeks.

A fellow placenta previa accreta sufferer here. Mine was diagnosed at 6 weeks with a cesarean scar pregnancy. Hope you come through it ok :) and the bright side is at least they found out before you had the c section. I have read alot of cases where they didn't find out till the mother was bleeding out on the operating table so in our cases, the odds are I think much more in our favour.
Good luck :)

You mean 37 weeks right?! I'm sure that everything will go well with your c-section. Take it easy and let your hubby handle everything right now, as hard as I know that might be :)
