21 Week Survey
By Libelula264 » Posted Dec. 14, 2018 9:16pm - 197 views - 0 comments

I keep coming up short with ideas for a journal entry, so I'll bring back the weekly survey for now. It's been EIGHT weeks since my last entry. Time is flying by.

How big is baby? Carrot
Due date: 4/26/19
How far along: 21w0d
Next appointment: Wednesday December 19th, last cervix check before my LAST flight of this pregnancy, to MI for Christmas on 12/22. Back on 12/27.... Wishes/prayers for intact waters would be appreciated.
Gender: Boy!
Total weight gain/loss: Up about 8 lbs
Exercise: Nada
Stretch marks: None
Swelling: None
Maternity clothes: 24/7
Belly button: Flat and stretched out
Sleep: Started sleeping on a towel to soak up the night sweats, which has increased the time between sheet washes... Still sleeping OK.
Food cravings: No cravings, just a lot of hunger, and then I get SUPER DUPER full afterward. It's already getting crowded in there.
Symptoms: Braxton hicks are here with a vengeance. They're so very annoying. I was hoping the Makena shots would lessen them during this pregnancy, but that doesn't seem like the case. I ordered a belly support belt today in hopes that'll help... I seem to get them the most when walking around or sitting at my desk. My abdominal muscles are shot, so maybe some support will let my uterus relax a little.
Movement: Yes, SO MUCH. Posterior placentas are no joke. I feel him down low, on the sides, and even a punch/kick or two a couple inches below my ribs. Seems like he shouldn't be able to reach that far! Felt hiccups for the first time today. :)
Labor signs: No... I am not counting the BH's.
What I miss: Not getting out of breath after a flight of stairs. Being able to wear normal pants without them cutting into my pelvis - doesn't seem to matter which maternity pants I wear, they always get so tight right above the pubic bone... esp. during BH's.
What I'm loving: All the movement. Baby's getting big in there!
What I'm looking forward to: Viability, and being home after my trip to MI for Christmas. I constantly worry about my water breaking, but being home and at viability should make me worry (a little) less.
Best moment this week: Feeling hiccups
News: Went back to my old job which is 100% work from home unless I travel to a customer, and no more traveling after Xmas. So so happy about my choice to return.
Milestones: Past the halfway point... probably well past it since I expect I'll go early.
Words of wisdom: Pregnancy is crazy weird. Never gets less weird no matter how many times you've been pregnant. It's also crazy awesome and makes one feel privileged to be able to grow a human.
