So i finally got morning sickness
By diminished » Posted Oct. 20, 2012 7:37pm - 194 views - 1 comment

I started getting sweaty, dizzy and queasy at 4am and hugging the waste paper bin in my bedroom. it didnt last all that long but all day since ive been feelng like everyone feels on the 1st of january not enough sleep after a hard night out drinking, / kinda sea sick.
its not pleasent but after misscariages where i threw up only a few times, i will take permanant hungover queasy sea sickness as a positive sign hormone levels are riseing and baby is growing.

crackers and water stayed down at breakfast and so far and apple and slice of rye bread for lunch. So i am a million times better than some poor ladies who find all food and movement intolerable. (my mother and aunts get very bad morning sickness and spend weeks and months in hospital on iv fluids while prenant and have tiny families)

having 5 kids already living here i am not going to be able to let it get that bad, so im staying hydrated, and reducin my need to move and letting my 7 and 4 year old watch movies while the baby naps to keep them quiet. and my gallant mr 15 made them noodles for lunch. (my miss 15 lives at boarding school)

its just odd yesterday i was fine took the kids swimming at the hot salt water pool (a pool built on a rock platform that juts out into the sea) we came home for babys nap, made a picnic afternoon tea of choclate sponge coffins and jello people, fruit and popsicles and had a picnic in the abandoned cemetry (the paths have been repaved so its perfect for kids to safely practise scootering and skateing) and no one uses it so if my special needs boy acts up (i dont have 20 sets of judgement watching)

i i goggled what to do to fix morning sickness (i have an dislike for ginger flavoured things, i like it in stirefrys and have some grated ginger root in the freezer so i might try make a tea with it or at lest a stir fry for dinner)

so im elated that i feel horrid and useless, and only 5 of so more weeks of it hopefully (unless i am like my mother or aunts, and i am pretty sure i have read that bad morning sickness hyperresis or what ever its called isnt hereditary)

I am not a fan of ginger either, but my husband found some anti nausea gum that worked like a charm. I just chewed on it a bit and then would suck on it until it lost its flavor... which was after about 5 minutes. And the motion sickness bands helped a little too...
