Thursday I developed a Temp of 38.1 with the usual fever symptoms. weakness/shivers headache. and also had some abdominal pain with i yawned or breathed in deep. I was abit concerned about my temp though as it rose high very quickly. decided to take some paracetamol at 12:15am and called NHS direct (medical advice via phone) Well the lady told me to go on A&E to get checked over. SO we get dressed and go to the hospital to be told i was extremely dehydrated and had Key-tones in my urine. So they suspected a urinary track infection (which i have no burning when passing water) Anyway they stuck a tube in my arm and put my on fluids then admitted me to the ward. By this time It was 5:30 in the morning and was so tired. I couldn't sleep. my temp had returned and i was so cold i couldnt' control my shivering. I finally drifted in and out of sleep having awful nightmares and even hallucinated my partner (who had gone home) call my voice, which woke me up. 7:30am came and all the lights came on and all patients had to get out of bed. I had, had virtually had NO sleep. I was so emotional by then. The gyno came round to deliver my blood test result which my white cells were low. She also said they test for something else (i didn't catch what ) and said THAT result was strange, ut she was leaving now so the new Gyno will take a look. Anyway the new doc came round maybe 2 hours later and said all is fine and i could go home. I felt so poorly STILL but i needed my own bed and some sleep! I got home and my temp had risen again to 38.5 so just took some Paracetamol and went back to sleep with a fan on me. day 3 today, my temp has lowered but i still feel unwell, im beginning to think i have an ear infection. Stupid hospital.
